Ali came over from the UK with her young family on a business visa. To gain residencey she needed to start a business. She had already operated a shop with the same name in the UK and felt drawn to open one here. After considering many different area’s across the state, she settled on the lovely Gawler Street in Mount Barker. Her shop has now been operating for over 15 years and she loves it now just as much as she did 15 years ago.

For everyone wondering, the name ‘Farrago’ is Latin for ‘confused heap of nonsense’. There’s an infectious feeling of pure joy about Ali as she explains the name, her love for her loyal customers, the business and Mount barker in general.
